Places to Stay near Yellowstone West Entrance

The west entrance cover the towns of West Yellowstone, MT and Island Park, WY. West Yellowstone is a fun western town where you can enjoy restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Island Park is known for it’s fly-fishing.

This newly built cabin is surrounded by woods and sits on over 1/2 acre. Only 17 miles from Yellowstone’s west entrance, it’s a great place to rent for a large family (sleeps 10) and has all amenities of home. The cabin is decorated with log furniture to go along with the mountain surrounding.

This lovely cabin in the woods is another good cabin for large families (sleeps 12). It offers a master suite with fireplace, walk out porch and a jacuzzi in the master bath. Nothing is better than a relaxing evening after touring Yellowstone (only 20 miles away) all day. The cabin also offers a wraparound porch and a large outdoor firepit with seating.

Water’s Edge, Island Park, WY

Although this house is further from Yellowstone (40 minutes) than the others on this list I’m including it because it sleeps 28 and is great for families traveling together. Water’s Edge has everything that you would need for a great getaway including a large deck that overlooks the water and a boat dock if you have boats. Located on the western shores of Island Park Reservoir, there is a private cove for swimming where boats don’t go. There are 2 outside firepits with sitting to relax at night after a day of sightseeing.

Places to Stay Near Yellowstone East Entrance

The east entrance is located in Cody Wyoming. Cody is also a western town known for the rodeo. If staying nearby, it’s an experience seeing one. The town also has restuarants, shopping, and museums.

High Point Hideout has a great location being only 30 minutes from the town of Cody and the east entrance of Yellowstone. The house has a large loft with 2 beds, a sitting area, and an outside deck. Please note that there is a ladder to get to the loft, not a regular staircase.

Yellowstone’s north entrance is located in the quaint western town of Gardiner. It’s in Paradise Valley and the Yellowstone River runs through the town. This entrance is well known for “Roosevelt’s Arch”, a true sight to see. It’s so large you can spot it 2 miles away. The north entrance is the only Yellowstone gate that is opened year-round.

Places to Stay Near Yellowstone North East Entrance

Yellowstone’s north east entrance is only minutes away from the famous Lamar Valley which is the best spot in Yellowstone to view wildlife. It is also a short drive to the most scenic highway in America, the Beartooth. This road is a vacation in itself however it’s not for everyone has it is very curvy with no guide rails but you can’t beat the views!
